Took my 2013 X1 in for brakes, battery, headlight, turn signal, oil change and 100,000 mile-ish check-up. After being quoted $7,000 for the everything, including recommended maintenance, I settled on the brakes, headlight, oil change, battery and flushing transmission fluid for $3,000. I was told the turn signal was not just the bulb but in the wiring so a wire harness was ordered. The future cost for part and repair was estimated at $115. Shortly thereafter, I had to take my car to the tire store for a warrantied tire repair and without my asking, they replaced the turn signal bulb- FOR FREE. That was almost a year ago and turn signal is still working fine. No wiring harness needed. This left me with the feeling that either the technician specifically wasn’t trained well enough to diagnose issues or the shop in general wasn’t completely honest about the repairs needed and the trust I had was extinguished. Very disappointing.
Hi Christine. I was reviewing your repair order and it appears that we installed a headlamp bulb and a turn signal bulb for you during your visit. That repair had a 4 year/50,000 mile warranty. Did it stop working again? As you stated, this was about a year ago, so I am concerned if something happened we need to remedy for you? Or maybe there was a miscommunication? I'm currently confused but want to make sure you're happy! Please let me know. 515-225-9090 Joe Jerkins, President
