Beware!!!!!! I have been a wsap customer for the past two years. In that time I have spent thousands of dollars on overpriced repairs. Just over a year ago I had them replace my water pump and all of the seals in my engine costing me $2400. Just the other day I noticed my engine leaking oil and the loss of coolant. I called and they told me the repairs were under warranty bc it had been less then 18 months. The water pump they put in had already gone bad! On top of that, because I had driven my audi just, and I mean just over 18,000 miles I needed to pay another $1200 to have them replace it again... and they claim there is no oil leak... even though I have oil coming through my headers. That is bad customer service, and I am left shocked that this company is more interested in getting a few more dollars from me rather then fixing their mistake and retaining me as a loyal customer. I will not be back... I would recommend finding a nice small shop who will stand behind their work.

If anyone is ever stuck in the Des Moines Iowa area with car trouble, go see the people at Westside Auto. They were $400 less than the next cheapest quote, plus took us to get lunch before bringing us to the hotel to hang out and wait for our car. It could have turned out MUCH more expensive for us, having no choice like we did - since we were kinda stuck there ....

Every time I use Westside Auto Pros, the experience has been more than delightful. The staff is friendly and takes extra time needed to answer my questions about the repair or service being completed. I've used them for years and always recommend my friends give them a call when they have car issues. Give them a try - you won't be sorry!

I had car problems on Sunday, December 30th. I'm from out of town and did not want to risk the trip back, but did not want to spend $3000 on a transmission repair if it wasn't necessary. I called Westside. They were closed, but the owner, Ron, on his voice mail said "to call him on his personal cell phone if it were an emergency." I called his personal cell phone, left a message and 15 minutes later I got a call back. He walked me through my Mazda Transmission issue. He gave me the info I needed and I'm on my way. I'll be doing the necessary repair in Minneapolis, but I wish his shop was in Minneapolis! Thanks Ron!

I have taken my cars to Westside for years and never once had an issue regardless of size. I highly recommend Westside.

I went there for the first time the week before Thanksgiving and they fixed my 4x4 front differential actuator. They also made a list of other things that needed attention on my vehicle. I couldn't get everything fixed right away and they understood that. I'm a retired disabled vet on a set income so I don't have a lot of funds for expensive repairs and they worked with me on it. I had to bring my car in again because it wouldn't start and they arranged for the towing and everything. I'm glad that I have a service center that I can go to that can meet my needs and is willing to work with me. Their hospitality is always the best and they even offered me a shuttle back home to Altoona from Clive which is a lot more comfortable for me to wait at home because of my disability than waiting all day at the service center or anywhere else. I will definitely be coming back to you for all my service needs.

The employees were very nice, and everything got done well. The only negative parts were that I think the prices were a little high (the quote did match the bill relatively close, however), and my car got done a day later than they estimated. I liked that they told me "these things need to be fixed now. these things can wait, but they need to get done soon, and these can be fixed later". I'll probably come back, but maybe not for big repairs. Oil changes, most definately--they were very nice, and I feel like they didn't take advantage of the fact that I'm a woman.

Westside Auto Pros provided a warm and welcoming atmosphere. As a young female professional, many times I feel treated unfairly at auto shops, however West Side goes above and beyond to make sure you understand everything and they treat you with respect. They even have ladies nights where they invite women to the shop to learn about cars!

Awesome job. Very competitive with their prices. Will definitely go back.

Ron is the greatest guy in West Des Moines when it comes to the automotive repair industry! Really takes car of his customers and employees! Recommend them to everyone!
